Many of you will recall that last year, the online charity website Buy Once Give Twice had a Gerald Scarfe hand-painted guitar celebrating Pink Floyd’s The Wall up for auction. More details, and exclusive picture, here. Then, back in February, they offered the chance to kiss Nick Mason!

‘West Bank Wall’ – Laat de muur vallen….
Op dinsdag 2 juni 2009 bezocht Roger Waters een vluchtelingenkamp nabij Bethlehem in Israël. Roger bezocht het Ayda vluchtelingenkamp en gaf daarbij aan dat als de West Bank muur afgebroken wordt hij op die plek terstond een concert zal geven. Roger vertelde: “Deze muur snijdt diep in de West Bank. Dit ding (de muur), dit vreselijke ding moet snel om”.
Roger was maandag 1 juni 2009 op bezoek in de West Bank stad Jenin waar hij een project sponsort om een vervallen filmtheater weer opgebouwd te krijgen.

Monday, May 25th and the location of the venue for the Crisis Hidden Gig featuring Amadou & Mariam and David Gilmour was revealed as the wonderful Union Chapel in Islington, London. The sell-out crowd was treated to a magnificent fusion of African Blues jazz and the sound of David playing his famed Black Strat guitar.
